Prindex is a not-for-profit organization jointly initiated by the ODI and the Global Land Alliance, generously funded by the Omidyar Network and the FCDO. Its primary mission is to provide fully comparable open-source data on tenure security perceptions at both global and local levels. The organization conducts policy-relevant research and offers monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) services.
Prindex offers a Global Dataset that is open source and freely accessible for individuals and organizations engaged in research and advocacy work. Their belief is rooted in the idea that access to more extensive and improved data will strengthen the case for action and lead to more effective policymaking.
The organization is dedicated to forging new collaborations to expand the availability and enhance the quality of land rights data. This data is further categorized based on demographics, tenure type (owner, renter, or family-owned property), documentation, property characteristics, and location.
A central objective for Prindex is the continual improvement of the resources they provide. In pursuit of this aim, they sought the assistance of LTI to develop specific sections on their website.
To address their requirements, LTI collaborated with Prindex to update their existing website prototype. The primary focus was on incorporating additional countries, data, and custom features to better manage their social media accounts.
LTI’s involvement in this project encompassed several critical aspects. Firstly, our team meticulously monitored the Prindex website. Subsequently, we synthesized a series of recommendations designed to enhance the overall user experience. Additionally, LTI ensured the website remained up-to-date.
To fulfill the core objectives of this collaboration, LTI took on the responsibility of upgrading the Prindex website with fresh data, an updated appearance, and the integration of new social media accounts.
The collaboration between LTI and Prindex is an ongoing effort, aimed at empowering the organization to achieve its mission of making reliable land rights data accessible to all, and thereby advancing global policymaking in this crucial domain.
